day two

today could be summed up in the following saying; what can go wrong will go wrong.
so, we decided to take some back roads through kentucky since we drive slower with a trailer.
we were going along at the wonderful speed of 30 miles per hour through the hills of kentucky
when the rains started to come down.
the kind of  rain storm that you love to watch from the window in the comfort of your home.
just as the storm started we came to a bridge at the kentucky/indiana border. upon arriving to the boarder we were told we were not allowed to cross the bridge because we were hauling a trailer. the officer said to take a road east until you come to a dam. after a half hour of driving east i started looking at the map. i realized it would be taking us all the way to cincinnati. no thank you. so, i pulled out our trusty gps and plugged in our destination with the quickest route and we were shortly back the roads we know and love.
Total miles we should have driven today: 185
Total miles we actually drove today: 295
today's lesson is from tlc. don't go chasing water falls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that your used to
(or maybe just interstates and highways).
the good news is that we landed safely to our next destination.
we will be in camby, indiana until saturday morning.
